How a record gets in

Every number traces to a public document. If it can't be sourced, it isn't published.

  1. Collect

Each state's public filings and disclosure pages are checked daily. Nothing is entered by hand.

  2. Extract

Fields come out exactly as the document states them. A figure the filing doesn't give stays blank rather than estimated.

  3. Verify

A record is published only once it resolves back to the filing it came from, with the link attached.

Coverage, one state at a time

Each state publishes something different. Coverage grows once the current states run clean, so every row stays accurate.

  • CaliforniaLive, project level

All 933 projects on the approved list, with credit allocated, qualified spend, filming days and fiscal year, tracked week to week.

  • GeorgiaIn progress

Georgia publishes no per-project credit amounts, so coverage will track production activity alongside program-level totals. Not yet published.

  • New MexicoIn progress

New Mexico names productions as it approves them but reports credit dollars only at the program level. Coverage will follow that shape. Not yet published.

  • UtahCollecting

Utah's tourism board approves film incentives monthly, with counties, estimated Utah spend and the maximum incentive for each project. Records are being collected and validated now.

  • New YorkCollecting

Empire State Development reports credits issued and new applications each quarter, by company and county. Records are being collected and validated now.

  • New JerseyCollecting

The state economic development authority reports every approved film credit each quarter: company, production, city, approval date, estimated New Jersey spend and total award. Records are being collected and validated now.

  • Texas, LouisianaPlanned next

Researched one state at a time and added once each state's per-project data is confirmed.

Everything comes from public government records. No personal contact data is collected, stored or sold.
