Incentive Radar is a sole proprietorship operated by Ima Kennerly in the United States.
The short version. Incentive Radar collects your email address and what you do on your own subscription, and almost nothing else. The site uses cookie-free analytics. There are no profiles and no ads, and no personal contact data about anyone in the industry is collected, stored, enriched, or sold. The dataset is company-level only, by policy, not by accident.
1. What is collected
- If you subscribe or join the free list
- Your email address, the tier you hold, and your subscription and billing status. If you provide a name or a company, that is kept too. Payment card details go straight to Stripe and never reach Incentive Radar.
- If you send an email
- The message and your address, kept to answer you and to check whether the same question has already been answered for someone else.
- If you just visit the site
- Aggregate, cookie-free page-view data through Cloudflare Web Analytics: page, referrer, country, device class. No cookies are set, no cross-site identifier is created, and it cannot single you out.
- If you click a link from a post or an email
- A campaign tag in the URL (a UTM parameter) showing which post or message the visit came from. It identifies the link, not you.
2. What is deliberately not collected
- Personal contact records of crew, producers, or agency staff. The dataset holds companies, projects, and public filings. Outreach is company-level. This is a standing rule of the business.
- Special-category data, and anything about children. The service is for adults working in the industry.
- Card numbers, bank details, or government identifiers.
3. Why it is held
To deliver the thing you subscribed to, to take payment for it, to answer you when you write, to see in aggregate whether anything published is read, and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Personal data is never sold, never shared for advertising, and never used in a way that would surprise you.
4. Who processes it
| Processor | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Ghost (Ghost Foundation) | Membership list, email delivery, account access |
| Stripe | Payments, card data, invoices, tax calculation |
| Cloudflare | Site hosting and cookie-free analytics |
| Zoho Mail | The Incentive Radar inbox, so the email you send |
| Supabase | The incentive dataset itself — public records, no subscriber data |
Each is bound by its own agreement with Incentive Radar and may process data in the United States or the European Union.
5. How long it is kept
Subscriber records: while you are a member, then up to 24 months after cancellation to honour a Founding rate or answer a billing question, unless you ask for deletion sooner. Email threads: up to 24 months. Billing records: as long as tax law requires, typically seven years. Analytics: aggregate only, no personal retention.
6. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can request a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]; replies come within 30 days and usually within two business days. If you are in the EU or UK you have the rights under the GDPR, including a right to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are in California you have the rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and to delete; Incentive Radar does not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
7. Security, and honesty about it
Access to subscriber data is limited to the owner, credentials are held in a password manager with two-factor authentication, and payment data never touches Incentive Radar’s systems. No small operation can promise perfect security. If a breach affects you, you and the relevant authority will be told without delay.
8. Changes
The date at the top is the current version. Material changes are emailed to subscribers before they take effect.
